This weeks “Five Minutes” is with Tom Appleton of Rocket Investments an investment company focused on delivering mixed use commercial property in and around the Silicon Roundabout. Tom is the co-founder of Rocket Investments and has been instrumental in the planning and development of Linen Court a 40,000 sq ft building just north of Old Street roundabout.
As the Hoxton Hotel is put up for sale we thought we would share our thoughts on other great hotels in the Silicon Roundabout area.

Set up in September 2006, Sinclair Beecham, founder of Pret a Manger says, “With The Hoxton, we have demonstated that quality does not need to be expensive and can be highly profitable.Now is the appropriate time for the original investors, who had the vision to back this concept, to seek an exit and for new owners to take the hotel forward”.

At the inaugural Digital Shoreditch Festival last week the Government’s Technology Strategy Board announced a funding competition to invest £1m to support the growth of creative and digital businesses launching in the area known as ‘Silicon Roundabout‘.
